We at Eagle Ridge Christian School believe that serving others is an important part of Christian life. Just as Jesus Christ came to the world “not to be served, but to serve,” we believe that we must teach our students to follow that example. Therefore, all students in grades 7-12 will participate in community service each year. Community service hour requirements will be discussed during the first Chapel of the school year.
In addition to community service, we also implement a program with our 7-12th grade students called “Dare 2 Care.” Within this program, students within 7-12th grades are assigned a peer to uplift, encourage, and bless periodically throughout the year. Just as Christ called us to love one another (John 13: 34-35), we encourage our students to treat one another with love, respect, and kindness. Dare 2 Care not only lets our students get to know one another better, but it also allows our students to demonstrate Christ’s love to each another on a regular basis.
